Job summary

America's Best, part of National Vision, is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to lead the eyeglass department, coach staff, and drive customer service excellence. You will supervise Opticians and sales staff, manage merchandising and promotions, and help forecast staffing needs to meet store goals.

The role requires Optical license as required by the state, experience in optical sales, and ABO/NCLE certification.

Qualifications

• Maintains Optical license as required by the state.
• Optical sales experience; supervising experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong communication skills for effective team management.
• Strong organizational skills for planning and monitoring goals.
• ABO and NCLE Certification is preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Drive, monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals per National Vision standards.
• Oversee eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance; identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure staff deliver the same.
• Ensure quality standards are met across the store and departments.
• Oversee merchandising, pricing, promotions and brand initiatives.
• Supervise and motivate Opticians and CL Sales associates; ensure day-to-day functions run smoothly.
• Assist the General Manager with forecasting staffing needs and recruiting.
• Lead and coach staff toward sales and customer service goals.
• Mentor Apprentice Opticians where permitted by law.
