Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care on-site in Longview, WA. You will assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit prescriptions, lifestyle, and personal style, ensuring accurate measurements and proper lens dispensing.

You will combine technical expertise with outstanding customer service, maintain knowledge of products and procedures, and collaborate with technicians and doctors to deliver a seamless patient

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret prescriptions and work with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver extraordinary patient experience with customized eyewear recommendations.
• Assist patients in frame and lens selection based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, rebates, lenses, and frames.
• Enter prescription data into the EHR/ALE and ensure documentation.
• Explain insurance benefits and coverage to patients.
• Perform eyewear adjustments and fittings to ensure comfort.
• Educate patients on care, warranties, and replacement options.
• Coordinate with technicians and doctors for order status.
• Follow up on orders and notify patients when eyewear is ready.
