Job summary

Total Vision LLC is a growing network of optometry practices seeking a patient-focused team member to assist with frame and lens selection, fitting, and education. You will help patients understand options for clear lenses, sunglasses, and other eye-care needs, and ensure proper measurement and fit for various lens types.

Experience in optical settings is preferred; lab edging/finishing experience is a plus. This is a full-time, hourly position based in Seal Beach, CA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2–3 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination.
• Customer service and sales skills with strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to explain lens options, benefits of multiple pairs, and ensure proper fit.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with frame and lens selection.
• Educate patients on lens options, sunglasses, and eye care needs.
• Ensure proper fit and measurements for various lens types (single vision, bifocal, progressive).
• Explain benefits of multiple eye-care pairs and advocate replacement when needed.
• Verify patient insurance and explain benefits.
• Dispense glasses and guide adaptation to prescriptions and lens types.
• Assist with repairs and adjustments and follow up on delays.
