Job summary

Total Vision LLC in Chula Vista, CA, is hiring an Optical Sales Associate to help patients choose frames and lenses and to assist with fittings and measurements. You will explain options for clear lenses, sunglasses, and specialty lenses and help patients understand their benefits and insurance coverage.

Responsibilities include dispensing glasses, guiding patients through lens types, coordinating repairs, and supporting lab tasks such as edging, finishing and surfacing when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2-3 years related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with frame and lens selection.
• Educate patients on options for frames, lenses, and sunglasses.
• Ensure proper fit and measurements for lens types.
• Explain benefits of multiple pairs of glasses.
• Verify patient insurance and explain benefits.
• Dispense glasses and advise adaptation to prescriptions.
• Assist with repairs and adjustments.
• Return patient calls promptly and communicate delays.
• Support other office tasks.
• Lab experience in edging, finishing and surfacing preferred.
