Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 6 months of experience in optical.
• Experience reading prescriptions and taking measurements.
• Knowledge of frame adjustments, lens types and lab processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with an outstanding eyewear experience from selection to fitting.
• Process orders accurately through MEC’s point-of-sale systems.
• Maintain records of prescriptions, orders, payments, and insurance claims.
• Review lab orders to ensure timely completion.
• Submit insurance claims and follow up on receivables.
• Dispense eyewear and contact lenses where applicable.
• Assist patients with adjustments, repairs and cleaning.
• Maintain organized frame inventory and displays.
