Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group invites a compassionate Certified Nurse Practitioner to join a new Eyecare surgical center in New Mexico. You will deliver comprehensive ocular assessments, co-manage pre- and post-operative care, and integrate optometric services within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires an active NM NP license, DEA registration, and 2+ years in clinical NP work, ideally in ophthalmology or integrative medicine. EHR proficiency and strong patient education skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license in New Mexico.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility in NM.
• Minimum of 2 years NP clinical experience, ophthalmology or integrative medicine preferred.
• Proficient in using EHR/EMR and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and ocular assessments.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract and other procedures.
• Order imaging and diagnostic testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography).
• Refer to ophthalmologists when scope requires surgical intervention.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and participate in quality initiatives.
