Job summary

LensCrafters, in partnership with Macy’s, seeks a Part-Time EyeCare Advisor to deliver the LensCrafters Experience. You will greet customers, explain tests and services, and coordinate with the Optometrist and retail team to ensure high-quality care and smooth patient flow.

This role emphasizes accuracy with prescriptions, handling patient records under HIPAA, and providing lens and frame recommendations. Flexible hours in a retail environment with benefits and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.
• Organization skills.
• Sales skills.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Knowledge of office and store merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers within 30 seconds.
• Answers the phone promptly (3 rings) in a friendly manner.
• Explains paperwork, tests, products and services.
• Reviews prescriptions and patient information with care; consults with Optician, Managing Doctor or Retail Management as needed.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant patient records.
• Operates the POS system accurately for transactions and payments.
• Assists in maintaining store appearance and promotions.
• Provides coaching to patients on contact lens care when needed.
