Job summary

MidWest Eye Center in Cincinnati, OH, is hiring a Surgical Technician to assist physicians and the Nurse Manager by preparing, maintaining and anticipating instrument and procedural needs for all surgical procedures in accordance with regulatory standards.

This role requires attention to detail, ability to work in a surgery center environment with patient contact, hazardous activities and strict safety protocols, and a commitment to teamwork, efficiency and high quality eye care.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience
• Maintains current BCLS certification and annual in-services
• Ability to work in a surgery center environment with patient contact and hazardous conditions
• Must follow instructions with speed and accuracy
• Must organize and set priorities for work
• Demonstrates manual dexterity, mobility and good interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Obtaining supplies from other areas as needed
• Returning supplies and equipment to the appropriate location
• Assisting in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly
• Effecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patients
• Reporting any unusual occurrences or incidents accurately to the Clinical Director
• Performing other duties as required
