Job summary

Cincinnati Eye is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist in operations, prepare the OR, and support the surgical team in a fast-paced setting. The role emphasizes sterile technique, equipment readiness, and patient transfer to PACU as needed.

Mandatory high school diploma or GED with preference for 2 years OR experience; CST/BLS are noted. This PRN position operates 6am-5pm, Monday through Friday, in the Ivy Point facility in Cincinnati, OH.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years of hospital main operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in surgical operations under supervision of Surgeons, RNs and Surgical Assistants.
• Prepare Operating Room by setting up instruments and ensuring equipment works.
• Assist with patient transfer to PACU and post-op care as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique and track medications, specimens and implants.
• Gathers supplies for cases and anticipates needs for each procedure.
• Assist orientation of new staff and participate in QA/PI activities.
