Job summary

EyeSouth Partners' Surgical Care Center in Painesville, OH is hiring a Surgical Technician for PRN shifts. You will assist physicians and the Nurse Manager, prepare and maintain instruments, and support procedures in a compliant, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain supplies from other areas as needed.
• Return supplies and equipment to the appropriate location.
• Assist in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly.
• Effect health or safety hazards for self and patients.
• Report unusual occurrences or incidents to the Clinical Director.
• Perform other duties as required.

We are now hiring a Surgical Technician to assist Physician(s) and the Nurse Manager by preparing, maintaining and anticipating instrument and procedural needs for all surgical procedures in accordance to regulatory standards.

This is a PRN position that will pick up shifts as needed throughout the month.

• Obtaining supplies from other areas as needed
• Returning supplies and equipment to the appropriate location
• Assisting in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly
• Effecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patients
• Reporting any unusual occurrences or incidents accurately to the Clinical Director
• Performing other duties as required
• 0-3 years of experience
• Maintains current BCLS certification and completion of required annual in-services
• Ability to work in a surgery center environment with healthcare interactions that include patient contact, hazardous chemicals, and infectious disease under a moderate level of noise
• Must be able to understand and follow instruction with speed and accuracy
• Must be able to organize and set priority for work to be done
• Possesses manual dexterity, mobility, visual acuity, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, attendance, and good interpersonal skills
