Cincinnati Eye Institute in Edgewood, KY seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists with patient testing and care. The role involves preparing patients, performing tests, recording data in EMR, and maintaining exam rooms across multiple locations.

Travel to other Cincinnati offices may be required; mileage reimbursement is provided. Open scheduling includes some weekends; benefits include a full package and paid time off. Training and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current COA/COT certification preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient service during every encounter (in person or via phone).
• Greet patients promptly and professionally; thank them when they leave.
• Anticipate Physician needs to facilitate clinic flow.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance in all communications.
• Record patient data in EMR accurately during visits.
• Prepare patients for exams and tests with the Ophthalmologist; assist as needed.
• Open/close exam rooms and keep them stocked and clean.
• Maintain inventory and support general office duties as needed.
