Job summary

EyeSouth Partners is hiring a Surgical Technician at our MidWest Eye Center location in Cincinnati, OH. You will assist physicians and the nurse manager by preparing, maintaining and anticipating instrument and procedural needs during surgical procedures.

Requirements include 0-3 years of experience, current BCLS certification, ability to work in a surgery center environment and strong organization, speed and accuracy. No nights or weekends, competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in a surgical setting.
• Maintains current BCLS certification and completes required in-services.
• Ability to work in a surgery center with patient contact, chemicals and infections.

Responsibilities

• Obtaining supplies from other areas as needed.
• Returning supplies and equipment to the appropriate location.
• Assisting in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly.
• Effecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patients.
• Reporting any unusual occurrences or incidents to the Clinical Director.
• Performing other duties as required.

We are now hiring a Surgical Technician to assist Physician(s) and the Nurse Manager by preparing, maintaining and anticipating instrument and procedural needs for all surgical procedures in accordance to regulatory standards.

• Obtaining supplies from other areas as needed
• Returning supplies and equipment to the appropriate location
• Assisting in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly
• Effecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patients
• Reporting any unusual occurrences or incidents accurately to the Clinical Director
• Performing other duties as required
• 0-3 years of experience
• Maintains current BCLS certification and completion of required annual in-services
• Ability to work in a surgery center environment with healthcare interactions that include patient contact, hazardous chemicals, and infectious disease under a moderate level of noise
• Must be able to understand and follow instruction with speed and accuracy
• Must be able to organize and set priority for work to be done
• Possesses manual dexterity, mobility, visual acuity, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, attendance, and good interpersonal skills
