Qualifications

• Experience in surgical scheduling is preferred.
• Experience in clinical eye care is preferred.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and insurance processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and related software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and educate patients for upcoming procedures.
• Educate patients on pre-op instructions and post-op care.
• Coordinate orders, schedules, and logistics for surgery.
• Schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
• Communicate with the surgery center, surgeon, and staff.
• Verify insurance and assist with prior authorizations and financing options.
• Maintain patient charts and EMR uploads.
