Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to support high-volume eye exams in a retail setting. You will assist doctors, perform pre-testing like autorefraction and visual acuity, and help with contact lens training for patients. A strong focus on patient care and compliant data handling is essential.

You will work with doctors and store teams, coordinate appointment flows, and support data documentation while ensuring privacy rules and store procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between doctor and patient to build rapport.
• Perform preliminary clinical data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, pupil testing, ocular motility, retinal imaging, lensometry).
• Support in-person and video-assisted eye exam appointments.
• Train new contact lens wearers on insertion/removal and mentor others.
• Manage appointment flow and patient follow-up for seamless check-ins.
• Maintain accurate records and assist in report preparation for medical professionals.
