Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking a friendly Optometric Technician to work with our optometrists in busy stores. You will assist with pre-testing, data collection of procedures like autorefraction and visual acuity, and support both in-person and video exams.

Training on contact lens insertion/removal will be provided and you may train teammates as needed. You will help manage patient flow, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports for other medical professionals while upholding HIPAA and privacy

Qualifications

• Optometric Technician training or CPOT certification is preferred.
• Experience in medical environment helpful but not required.
• Ability to learn medical applications quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between doctor and patient to build rapport.
• Perform preliminary data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, etc.).
• Support in-person and video-assisted eye exams as available.
• Provide insertion/removal training for contact lens wearers and train teammates.
• Assist with appointment confirmations, outreach, and follow-ups.
• Maintain organized exam room and restock supplies.
• Help document data and preparation of reports for professionals.
• Ensure HIPAA/privacy compliance and store procedures.
