Job summary

VSP Vision in El Dorado Hills, CA is seeking a full-time Optometric Technician to assist the optometrist with eye examinations and patient care. You will conduct pre-testing, gather patient history, and guide patients through the clinical experience.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, strong verbal and written communication, and proficiency with MS Office. You will work onsite with a focus on accurate documentation and patient flow.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a related field preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to listen, document patient visits, and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Optometrist with eye examinations and patient care.
• Gather patient history and pre-test information; document in the chart.
• Explain exam steps and guide patients through the clinical experience.
• Administer tests, measurements, and medications as directed.
• Scribe for the doctor and translate as needed.
