Job summary

MyEyeDr. is hiring an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, performing preliminary testing, and documenting medical history.

Training will be provided for the required pretest equipment and visual screenings to ensure a smooth patient flow. You'll work with the doctor and team to deliver a high-quality patient experience, handling weekend/evening shifts as needed and contributing to a welcoming, professional environment focused on helping patients

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document existing conditions and medical history to prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings prior to doctor visit.
• Conduct contact lens training and other preliminary testing where applicable.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide seamless patient experience.
