Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients and performing preliminary testing. Training will be provided for pretest equipment and visual screenings, even if you have no optical experience.

Some weekend and evening shifts may be required to ensure a smooth patient flow and exceptional care. You will document medical history, help patients feel comfortable, and collaborate with the doctor and staff to deliver the highest quality vision care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Comfort with basic math and measurements.
• Personable and able to help patients feel at ease.
• Training provided for pretest equipment and screening procedures.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients and document medical history for the Optometrist.
• Support smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures during visits.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Provide basic contact lens training where applicable.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to deliver seamless care.
