Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry, preparing patients for visits with preliminary testing and measurements. Training will be provided, with potential weekend/evening shifts. You will help ensure a smooth patient flow and a best-in-class eye care experience.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, be personable and detail-oriented, and willing to learn about eye care products and services. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable and patient with ability to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for prep for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures they will be exposed to.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
