Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will help patients choose frames, lenses, and accessories that fit prescriptions, lifestyle, and style, ensuring proper fit and accurate dispensing.

You will interpret prescriptions, update patients on orders, and educate them on care, warranties, and insurance coverage while maintaining a clean, organized practice and strong customer service focus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum one year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfort with HIPAA and medical privacy.
• Proficiency with computer software and EHR entry.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an extraordinary experience to each patient with tailored eyewear.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments.
• Update patients on order status; resolve issues and escalate when needed.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter data into the EHR/ALE system.
• Educate patients on care, warranties, and insurance coverage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice and displays.
