Job summary

Visionworks in Louisville, KY is seeking an OD Coordinator to be the face of our Exam Practice, guiding patients through the eye exam journey and connecting them with products and services. You will help train and schedule OD Techs, ensure accurate patient records, and smoothly transition patients from doctor to sales floor.

The role emphasizes friendly, human interactions, comprehensive eye health knowledge, and supporting day-to-day store operations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• Licensed OD Techs must maintain a State Optician License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including: restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.
• Count the Optometrist's daily revenue and prepare for deposit.
• Prepare the Technician work schedules to meet patient/Doctor demand.
