Music City Optical, Inc. in Nashville seeks a proactive front-office associate to greet patients, manage scheduling, and handle basic billing tasks within a boutique ophthalmic practice.

You'll support the lead optician, assist with frame fitting, and contribute to social media content while maintaining HIPAA-compliant, friendly service. We value reliability and a willingness to learn in a small team.

Qualifications

• Experience in optometry/ophthalmology front-office or medical front-office settings.
• Experience with insurance verification and electronic claims.
• Background in luxury retail or consultative sales.
• Familiarity with EHR or practice-management software.
• Experience with business social media or content creation.
• Strong math skills and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Take care of patients: greet, check-in/out, scheduling, calls, and documentation in EHR; answer phones clearly.
• Calm unhappy patients and explain charges, benefits, and next steps while protecting confidentiality.
• Handle insurance and claims: verify eligibility, use portals, submit claims, and post ERA/Explanation of Benefits.
• Assist lead optician and help cover when needed; aid frame and lens selection.
• Build knowledge of designers, lens technologies, and trends; support ordering, tracking, and adjustments.
• Post to social: create polished content for Instagram/Facebook, shoot frames, respond to comments, ensure patient privacy.
