Job summary

Visionworks in Nashville seeks an OD Tech/Optometric Assistant who is the face of our Exam Practice, guiding patients through the first steps of their visit with a friendly, human and bold approach.

You will assist with preliminary testing and eye health knowledge, introduce patients to the OD, and help transition them to the sales floor while supporting store operations and customer service, with a team-focused, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs.
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including: restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs.
• Will open/close the store/office to support business as needed.
