Job summary

Music City Optical, Inc. is seeking an Optician or Optician Manager to join our Nashville team. You will assist patients in selecting eyewear, take facial measurements, and handle check-outs for exams, eyewear, and contacts while explaining pricing and insurance coverage.

We offer sponsorship to become a licensed optician if not already licensed, a team-building leadership path for the manager role, and a $500 signing bonus after 6 months and another $500 after 12 months of full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical setting or optometrist office is required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient with optometry software and EHR systems.
• Familiar with Vision Benefit ordering and ABB Verify usage.
• HIPAA knowledge and data confidentiality required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients to learn eyewear needs and preferences.
• Suggest frames and guide patients to best options.
• Record facial measurements for proper fit of eyewear.
• Prepare orders for ophthalmic lab and manage pricing/insurance explanations.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality in all interactions.
• Oversee optical operations and assist with team coordination.
