Job summary

Music City Optical, Inc in Nashville seeks an Optician or Optician Manager to join our team. You will speak with patients to learn about their lifestyle and needs, take facial measurements, and help them pick eyewear and lenses that meet their needs.

You will do check outs for exams, eyewear and contact lenses. You will also help clients learn about pricing and insurance coverage, and follow HIPAA regulations closely.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical settings or optometrist office preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA regulations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with optical software and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients to understand eyewear needs.
• Recommend frames and lenses and assist in selection.
• Take facial measurements for proper fit.
• Prepare orders for the ophthalmic lab and explain pricing/insurance.
• Ensure HIPAA and confidentiality compliance.
