Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in St. Mary’s, WV, is hiring for a rotating shift position supporting SimEx Rigid Operators. The role starts at $16/hour with a training-based raise to $17/hour and a $1.25/hour night differential during night rotation.

Position emphasizes safety, quality checks, and progression to a Rigid Operator Trainee. Training on the day shift; 14 of 28 days worked with extended breaks; site offers full benefits if employed full-time.

Qualifications

• Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32".
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Able to convert fractions to decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret common statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructions.
• Capable of using computerized equipment.
• Will require standing, walking and working on concrete surfaces for long periods of time.
• Ability to move carts in and out of production areas.
• 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to SimEx Rigid Operators across Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Housekeeping.
• Move into a Rigid Operator Trainee role after training and progression.
• Ensure safety is the top priority and follow all safety rules.
• Perform End of the Line Quality checks including Cut Length, Surface, and Finseal.
• Stack and pack vinyl lineals per rack drawings and paperwork.
• Assist with extrusion line setups, shutdowns, and changeovers.
• Adhere to housekeeping standards daily.
• Be a proactive team member and eager to learn.
