Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Night Shift Machine Operator I to learn extrusion line operation and produce vinyl siding components to spec. You will perform QA checks and assist with line changes as you progress toward Operator II.

The 7pm–7am, 2-2-3 schedule includes a $1 per hour night differential. This full-time position offers benefits from day one and opportunities for growth within manufacturing operations. Safety-minded teamwork is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and understand basic machine mechanics.
• Must have good mechanical aptitude and above average math aptitude.
• Six months of related or production experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to verify operational status of all equipment on assigned line according to start-up checklist.
• Maintain extruder and peripheral line equipment settings to match product specs.
• Perform quality assurance tests on finished product within established tolerances.
• Notify supervision of deviations for prompt correction.
• Assist with troubleshooting and communicate issues to QA and supervisors.
• Complete extrusion and QA paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Conduct line/panel checks for product consistency (thickness, width, length).
• Monitor packing and ensure proper packing techniques are applied.
