Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in St. Mary’s, WV, is hiring a Production Operator on a 4/3/3/4 rotational schedule (days and nights). Starting pay is $17/hour with a raise to $18 after training, plus a $1.25/hour night diff.

This role progresses toward a Rigid Operator Trainee as you gain experience. The job involves supporting extrusion lines, performing quality checks, stacking vinyl lineals, and maintaining housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32” (0.03125 inch)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Ability to read and interpret production data and instructions
• Capable of using computerized equipment
• Must be able to stand, walk and work on concrete
• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure Safety is the #1 priority and follow all safety rules
• Perform End of the Line Quality Checks (Cut Length, Surface, Finseal)
• Stack and pack vinyl lineals per rack drawings
• Assist with extrusion line setups, shutdowns and changes
• Maintain housekeeping standards daily
• Support other SimEx departments as needed
• Aim to become Rigid Operator Trainee
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor
