Job summary

This position reports to the Production Supervisor. This role operates on a 2/2/3 schedule with a start time of 6:45 AM and a shift that can extend into the evening.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• Must understand how process equipment works and be able to troubleshoot.
• Strong decision making, analytical skills, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Self-directed, motivated, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to accident-free operations and compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Assists with set-ups, start-ups, color changes, die changes and shutdowns on the equipment.
• Learns and operates extrusion and downstream equipment.
• Monitors adjustments and communicates issues to senior operators and leadership.
• Completes daily production reports and quality checks.
• Ensures materials are available for daily production per specs.
• Supports training of Production Assistants and maintains housekeeping standards.
