Job summary

The AZEK Company/TimberTech Wilmington division is seeking a Grinder Operator for the PVC/ Rail Plant on the Day Shift. You will remove scrap material from production lines and run it through grinding equipment for reuse, ensure the dust collection system is emptied, and regrind material lines are supplied.

This role reports to Production Supervisor. We’re looking for a high-energy, motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be self-directed and motivated in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Able to push/pull/lift 10–100 lbs and stand for entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to accident-free operations and comply with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Fill hopper with sorted material to be ground.
• Change dust collection bags for extrusion area.
• Separate scrap and regrind by color and tag appropriately.
• Provide production support for staging bins, skids, and regrind materials.
• Operate forklift following safe procedures and perform daily forklift checks.
• Inform Maintenance or Supervisor of any grinding equipment issues.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision/management.

Hours: 6:45AM to 7PM on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule!

This position is eligible for a $3,000 Bonus!

$1,500 at 3 Months!

$1,500 at 6 Months!

The Grinder Operator is responsible for the removal of all scrap material from production lines and running it through grinding equipment for reuse into the manufacturing process. The Grinder Operator ensures dust collection system emptied as required and regrind / blending lines are supplied with regrind material. • Ability to stand for complete shift; kneeling, lifting overhead, bending climbing and crawling are often required.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where temperatures that can become very hot depending on the weather.
