Job summary

The AZEK Company is seeking a Recycling Operator II for a day shift, with a 2-2-3 schedule (6:45am-7pm/6:45pm-7am) in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. The role requires operating and troubleshooting extrusion and related processes, maintaining quality and safety standards, and collaborating with Maintenance and Quality teams.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of extrusion experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform accurate batching and documentation while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year extrusion experience; plastic extrusion preferred.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• Experience monitoring and adjusting process parameters.
• Knowledge of SOPs, BOPs, and quality specifications.
• Forklift and skid steer experience preferred; certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Independently operate, monitor, adjust, start up, and shut down assigned recycling and processing equipment.
• Operate pulverizer equipment and extrusion, melt-blending, and pelletizing processes while monitoring conditions.
• Diagnose issues, perform operator-level corrections, and request maintenance when needed.
• Respond to downtime and abnormal conditions to minimize production impact.
• Complete accurate batching, material staging, and documentation on time.
• Communicate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Support training and cross-training of operators and ensure safety adherence.
