Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an Extrusion Associate for a 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday, 11pm–7am) in Marion, Ohio. The role focuses on fabrication and production of components for final window assemblies in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting.

You will mass-produce windows and support loading/unloading, use hand/power tools, and read work orders and measurements. Starting pay is $17/hour, plus $1/hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 pounds continually.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• Support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows.
• Use hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers as needed.
• Read and carry out work orders, labels, and schedules.
• Read measurements and perform fraction/decimal conversions.
• Operate equipment required to perform the job.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
• Carry out verbal instructions and read written instructions.

JOB DETAILS

Duties and Responsibilities

The Extrusion Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units


• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows


• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers


• Understand and carry out verbal instructions


• Read and carry out simple written instructions


• Read work orders, labels, and schedules


• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during the interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects


• Make fraction and decimal conversions


• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job


• Perform other duties as assigned


• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist


• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
