Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Marion, Ohio is seeking a Production Associate to fabricate and assemble window components in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. You will perform repetitive operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units, work with hand or power tools, read instructions and work orders, and support other tasks on the line.

This role requires 18+ dollars per hour including shift differential, ability to stand long hours, lift up to 25 pounds, pass background

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds continuously.
• Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience reading a tape measure is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors and glass units.
• May support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows.
• Operate hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers.
• Read and follow verbal and written instructions and work orders.
• Read labels, schedules, and measure with a tape measure as needed.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay Rate: $17.00 plus $1 per hour shift differential

3rd Shift: Sunday-Wednesday 7:30PM To 6:00AM (Overtime until 6:00AM)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing.
