Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands Rocky Mount is seeking a Production Associate to fabricate and assemble window components in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting. You will perform repetitive operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.

Training may require six weeks, Monday through Friday, 6a–6p. After training, shifts run 1st and 3rd with corresponding hours. Benefits start day one, including medical, dental and vision.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the US
• Able to pass a background check and drug test
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
• Prefer experience in manufacturing
• Prefer experience reading a tape measure

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May assist in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows
• Use hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Read and carry out simple written instructions and work orders
• Read measurements and take measurements as required
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Base Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour plus $1.50 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift

Shift 1st: 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday - Friday

Shift 3rd: 6:00 pm to 6:00 am Monday - Friday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

Training period require working Monday through Friday 6a - 6p and could last up to 6 weeks approximately

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure
