Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Marion, Ohio is hiring for a 3rd shift manufacturing role. Pay starts at $17 per hour with a $1 per hour shift differential; shift is Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am.

You will perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units and support window operations as needed. This full-time position requires ability to stand long shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, pass background and drug tests, and read simple instructions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prefer experience in manufacturing and reading a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows.
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers.
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions; read and follow simple written instructions.

• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during the interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure
• Employees are required to stand or walk on a concrete floor surface for up to a ten-hour shift
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
