Cornerstone Building Brands in Marion, Ohio is seeking an Extrusion Associate to join our production team. The role involves fabrication and the production of component parts for final window assembly in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

You will perform repetitive workstation tasks, read work orders, use a tape measure, and operate hand tools, saws, welders, or routers as needed. This is a full-time position on the 3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am, with competitive hourly pay

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Authorized to work in the US
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Able to read and follow written or verbal instructions
• Able to stand for extended periods
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
• Prefer experience in manufacturing and reading a tape measure
• Work on concrete floor up to a ten-hour shift

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading materials or windows
• Use hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers to complete tasks
• Read and carry out simple written instructions and work orders
• Read labels and schedules, and measure with a tape measure for quality checks
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

JOB DETAILS

Pay starting at $17 per hour plus $1 per hour shift differential

3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am

Duties and Responsibilities

The Extrusion Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during the interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing

• Employees are required tostand or walk on a concrete floor surface for up to a ten-hour shift
