Job summary

Verano Holdings Corp. is seeking a Manager, Finance – External Reporting to shape the company’s external financial communications and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.

You will oversee consolidation, technical accounting research, and disclosures across quarterly and annual filings, with exposure to senior leadership and Audit Committee. The role emphasizes process improvements, collaboration with Investor Relations, and maintenance of accounting policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s a plus.
• Active CPA license is required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including SEC/external reporting at a public company.
• 2+ years of public accounting, preferably Big 4 or national firm.
• Strong U.S. GAAP and SEC knowledge; proficiency with Workiva and XBRL is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation/review of quarterly and annual financials and SEC filings.
• Manage external reporting calendar, checklists, and XBRL/tagging workflows.
• Collaborate with IR, FP&A, Legal, and Treasury on earnings releases and disclosures.
• Monitor SEC rules and new accounting standards; advise on impacts.
• Prepare quarterly regulatory update materials for senior management/Audit Committee.
• Perform technical accounting research for complex transactions.
• Own cash flow, segment reporting, EPS, lease accounting, and impairment testing.
• Liaise with auditors; oversee SOX controls in external reporting.
• Mentor external reporting staff and contribute to talent development.
