Job summary

FAIRWINDS Credit Union in Orlando is seeking an External Mortgage Loan Officer to expand our reach and connect homebuyers with mortgage solutions. In this commission-based role, you will build relationships with real estate agents, developers, and community professionals while actively prospecting through cold calls, networking, and events.

You will own the loan process from application to closing with support from a dedicated processor and priority underwriting, ensuring exceptional member

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in external mortgage lead generation and loan origination
• A strong network and passion for building relationships within your market
• Excellent communication, follow-through, and sales skills

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other community professionals to drive consistent mortgage leads
• Actively prospect through cold calling, networking, presentations, and community involvement
• Represent FAIRWINDS at events, deliver engaging presentations, and drive brand awareness to grow your pipeline
• Takes complete and accurate mortgage applications, oversees the loan process by monitoring loan status and ensuring conformity to terms
• Partner closely with your dedicated processor and enjoy priority underwriting to help you close loans efficiently and with confidence
• Ensures exceptional member experience by interacting and interfacing with all parties involved in each loan transaction, from application to closing

As an External Mortgage Loan Officer, you’ll be on the front lines of business development representing FAIRWINDS in your market and turning connections into clients.

Your Role in Our Mission:

Build and maintain strong relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other community professionals to drive consistent mortgage leads.

Actively prospect through cold calling, networking, presentations, and community involvement.

Represent FAIRWINDS at events, deliver engaging presentations, and drive brand awareness to grow your pipeline.

• Takes complete and accurate mortgage applications, participates in obtaining all necessary support documents, oversees the loan process by monitoring loan status and ensuring conformity to terms.

Partner closely with your dedicated processor and enjoy priority underwriting to help you close loans efficiently and with confidence.

• Ensures exceptional member experience by interacting and interfacing with all parties involved in each individual loan transaction, from application to closing.
