Job summary

Achievement Prep in Washington, DC is seeking a Group Leader for Extended Learning to support scholars from Pre-K to 8th grade with targeted academic enrichment, physical activities and social-emotional skill development. The role reinforces classroom learning and works with teachers, families and staff to sustain a safe, engaging after-school environment.

This part-time, 10-month exempt position offers evening hours outside regular school time, with additional full-time summer programming

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• OSSE childcare licensing requirements must be met.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Be on site outside regular school hours (early mornings and/or afternoons).
• Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Ensure safety and well-being during extended sessions.
• Provide targeted academic support in math, literacy, science and social studies.
• Maintain records of scholar performance, attendance and behavior.
• Incorporate hands-on activities and project-based learning.
• Participate in professional development, 1:1 coaching, workshops and training.
• Complete quarterly evaluations in specified domains.
