Job summary

Wonders Early Learning + Extended Day is seeking an Extended Day Aide to support before/after care in our school-age programs in Washington, DC. This part-time position requires 15–20 hours weekly and involves active, hands-on activities and teamwork with a dedicated staff.

The role emphasizes safety, inclusivity, and engaging spaces, with regular collaboration to plan and implement a diverse curriculum. Training and growth opportunities are provided across multiple DC locations.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Six months of supervised experience with school-age children or equivalent.
• Other qualifications listed for DC program admission as specified in the job posting.

Responsibilities

• Actively plan learning activities balanced across areas and group sizes.
• Implement policies and collaborate in team planning with Program Director.
• Lead planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities aligned with the Wonders curriculum.
• Establish open communication with families and participate in staff development.
