Job summary

The Learning Lead provides individualized and small-group academic support to help youth strengthen their skills, understand new concepts, complete assignments, and achieve their academic goals. This position plans and implements engaging lessons, enrichment activities, and supplemental programming while creating a welcoming and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or working toward an Education Degree.
• Two years of current or previous work with elementary-aged children.

Responsibilities

• Support the academic growth, development, and overall progress of youth.
• Demonstrate proficiency in assigned academic subject areas and assist in curriculum development.
• Maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all members.
• Encourage problem-solving, curiosity, and independent learning.
• Provide academic support through homework assistance, enrichment activities, and programs.
• Support youth with behavioral challenges using positive behavioral strategies and follow established plans.
• Ensure safety, supervision, and accurate attendance and records at the site.
• Communicate updates and concerns to the Education Coordinator and families.

Education
