Job summary

Georgetown Day School in Washington, DC is seeking Part-time Auxiliary Programs Team Members to support after-school and extended-day programming for students aged 4–13. The roles are on-campus at 4200 Davenport Street NW with immediate start once cleared to work.

Responsibilities include supervision, enrichment planning, and collaboration with staff to deliver age-appropriate, hands-on activities across Extended Day, Early Morning Grasshopper, Break Camp, and related programs.

Qualifications

• Experience in after-school programs or summer camps with children.
• Bachelor’s in education or 90 Hour Child Care Certification preferred.
• Previous teaching experience.
• Ability to think on one’s feet and adapt.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Enjoyment of working with children; good judgment.
• Patience and sense of humor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise an activity with an assigned class for a specific age group.
• Monitor snacks and be aware of food allergies.
• Supervise off-campus activities and on-campus rentals.
• Facilitate free-choice activities and recess; support enrichment classes.
• Develop weekly lesson plans for free-choice classes and submit material requests.
• Ensure learning is creative, hands-on, and age-appropriate.
• Collaborate with colleagues and manage the extended day desk and/or carline.
