Wonders Early Learning + Extended Day in Bethesda, MD, seeks an Extended Day Aide to assist with before/after care for school-age children. The role emphasizes creating engaging, safe spaces, hands-on experiences, and developmental support within the Wonders Extended Day Curriculum.

The position requires age 16+, orientation training within 6 months, and strong communication skills. Schedule is part-time (12-20 hours weekly) at the Bethesda location with some after-school hours and events.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Within 6 months after hire complete the Teacher Aide Orientation virtual training.
• Formal or informal experience working with school-age children is strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively plan learning activities that are balanced in all areas.
• Implement policies, procedures, and practices in an organized manner.
• Participate in team planning sessions with Program Director and team.
• Lead planning and implementation of age-appropriate, process-oriented activities.
