Job summary

Wonders Early Learning + Extended Day seeks a Part-Time Extended Day Aide to support school-age children before and after school. Join a team delivering caring, inclusive programming and child-focused activities in a safe environment.

You will work with a Program Director to execute planned activities, provide individualized support, and help maintain a smoothly run classroom. This role emphasizes collaboration with families and ongoing staff training, including special events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience working with children in an educational, recreational, or camp setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• BA or AA in Education or related field preferred; coursework in child development/curriculum planning required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized support to help with specific needs and engagement.
• Participate in planning sessions with Program Director to implement activities and support strategies.
• Maintain open communication with Program Director about children, families, and staff.
• Demonstrate understanding of age-appropriate behavior and positive guidance within the program.
• Attend a minimum of 12 hours of staff training yearly.
• Work extended hours on half and full service days including winter and spring breaks and early release days.
