Job summary

Courtade Elementary School in Traverse City, Michigan is seeking an Extended Day Program Manager for the school year. This role oversees before/after school activities for children aged 3–12, ensures safety and program quality, and reports to the Licensed Child Care Director and building principal.

Responsibilities include supervising assistants, collecting payments, complying with MiLEAP licensing, and participating in staff development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Some Early Childhood college coursework highly preferred.
• Must have current First Aid and infant, child, and adult CPR training or be willing to obtain at next available offering.
• Willing to complete up to 16 clock hours of professional development training, in addition to new hire requirements as required by MiLEAP Child Care Licensing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides childcare services in before school and/or after school setting.
• Plans and implements age-appropriate activities for students ages 3-12 years old both indoors and outdoors.
• Supervise extended day assistants (caregivers) and provide feedback to the Licensed Child Care Director as needed.
• Responsible for collecting weekly payments and past due balances including completion of any necessary child care financial assistance program documentation.
• Assist Licensed Child Care Director in maintaining MiLEAP Child Care Licensing regulations.
