Job summary

Carter Machinery Company is seeking an Express Lube Technician for a weekend shift in Virginia, offering a starting range of $34.97–$43.96 per hour plus shift differential. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available, with half paid at hire and the remainder after 90 days.

The role involves lubricating machinery, inspecting fluid levels, and performing routine maintenance and up-selling services to customers. Minimum 2 years in a shop environment and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a shop service environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain CDL/DOT certification.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate moving parts of machinery with lubricants.
• Inspect fluid levels in engines, hydraulics, transmission, etc.
• Inject grease using hand or air-powered grease gun.
• Drain and refill oil as required.
• Collect oil samples for testing.
• Replace oil and air filters.
• Suggest other services to customers during inspections.
• Maintain inventories of oil, filters, and supplies.
