Job summary

Carter Machinery Co. Inc. in Richmond, Virginia is seeking an Express Lube Technician to lubricate moving parts and perform vehicle service tasks on customer sites with a 2nd shift.

The role requires at least 2 years in a shop environment and a valid driver's license, with CDL/DOT certification possible in the future. The starting pay ranges from $30.45 to $38.28 per hour, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus split across onboarding and after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a shop service environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain CDL/DOT certification.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate moving parts of machinery with specified lubricants.
• Inspect fluid levels for engine, hydraulics, transmission, etc.
• Inject grease into units with a grease gun.
• Drain oil and refill with required amounts; replace filters.
• Collect oil samples for testing.
• Inform customers of service due dates and recommend future services.
• Monitor inventories of oil, filters, and related items.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
