Job summary

UC San Diego Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner to provide Express Care coverage across multiple clinics in the San Diego area, including Carmel Valley. The NP will deliver same-day acute care for common conditions and help improve access to primary care.

The role requires floating to all Express Care sites, following standard practice guidelines, and performing wellness exams and population health duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner Program.
• California RN license, NP license, and Furnishing License Certification.
• FNP board certification.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to ART within six months.
• Current PALS certification or obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide same-day acute care for Express Care patients.
• Assist with annual wellness exams and population health initiatives.
• Support access to primary care and manage patient load.
• Follow standardized advanced practice procedures and care plans.
