Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide same-day acute care across Express Care clinics in multiple San Diego-area locations, and possibly virtual care as needed.

The NP will support access to primary care, manage common conditions such as colds, infections, UTI, and minor injuries, perform wellness exams, and participate in population health initiatives. Float to all Express Care sites as required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner Program.
• CA RN and NP licenses with furnishing license.
• FNP board certification required.
• Current BLS/CPR and ACLS with commitment to ART within 6 months.
• PALS certification or obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 1 year NP experience in ED/urgent care/Express Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide same-day acute care for common illnesses across Express Care clinics.
• Assist with annual wellness exams, follow-ups, and population health initiatives.
• Follow guidelines and coordinate care with care plans and teams.
• Willingness to float to all Express Care locations as needed.
