Job summary
UC San Diego Health is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide same-day acute care across Express Care clinics in Vista, Eastlake, Encinitas, and more. The NP will support access to primary care, perform wellness exams, post-hospital follow-ups, and participate in population health initiatives.
The role requires FNP certification, RN/NP licenses in California, and board certification, with a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner Program (FNP).
- California RN license, California NP license, and Furnishing License Certification.
- Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) board certification.
- BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six months.
- Current PALS certification, or required within six months of hire.
- Minimum one year of recent work as a licensed NP in ED/urgent care/Express Care.
- Ability to perform triage and handle urgent situations with accuracy and speed.
Responsibilities
- Provide same-day acute care to patients at Express Care clinics.
- Float to all Express Care locations as needed.
- Assist with annual wellness exams, post-hospital follow ups, and population health initiatives.
- Follow standardized advanced practice guidelines to follow care plans.
